embroidered patch

iron on embroidery patch

FABRIC PREPARATION

It is essential to prepare the surface where the patch will be applied thoroughly. Clean the area with a brush or clean cloth to remove dust and dirt; cut off any loose threads. The surface must be perfectly clean for the glue to adhere properly.

protective baking paper

Place a piece of baking paper larger than the iron on top of the patch. This will prevent the patch from coming into direct contact with the heat of the iron and avoid possible burns.

ironing

Heat the iron to 200°C. Place baking paper on the patch and iron evenly over the patch for 30 seconds. Remove the paper and check the adhesion. If necessary, repeat the operation for another 30 seconds, again with the baking paper on top. Once properly heat-sealed, wait 24 hours for the glue to set completely.

If it is possible to apply manual or machine stitches along the edge, the fastening will be even more secure.
